Pequignet, 45 years
Located in Morteau since 1973, the brand has retained its original building, although it has been enlarged and a great deal of work has been done to set up a high-end watchmaking laboratory and set up ultramodern production workshops.
Today, the company employs 20 people following its acquisition by the 4 former executives of the house. The new management team is working to refocus the collections around the brand’s DNA.
At the heart of the cradle of French watchmaking
Each creation is tended with the greatest care to it the best chance of a long life. A luxury timepiece must last. It must above all endure the whims of fashion, luxury being a symbol of timelessness.
It must also withstand the attacks of time: sapphire glass, horological gold and steel, screw-down or screw-fastened case-back ; each component, though not completely resistant to ageing, can always be renewed or replaced so that a Pequignet timepiece may be eternal for each of us. But beyond the craft and technology of the watch creator, there remains an element of mystery and magic surrounding a collection, beautiful, timeless and different.
Since 2014, Pequignet has been certificated EPV («Living Heritage Company»), a State label which recognizes French companies promoting craftsmanship and industrial excellence.
